Default Who ellse is sick and tired of the change?

Hello people.

I once joined up to play this game with a few real life friends.
And belive me it was the game I had been looking for in years.
The PvP, PvE, simple but hard to master. Great skill system, great verything.

The only thing us Role Players (Yuhuuu any left?) complained about was the lack of in-game items such as beer and cakes and indoor enviroments.

We got the first one now and we also have the game events that could count to some good instead of insidie enviroments like a pub.

So we had it all.
But now we're loosing it. Why does every company need to ruin their games?
Heck guys, you're working on GW2 now, leave this game alone! Only add new content if you wish (and we would be pleased if you did) do not change OLD content!

Don't become the Electronic Arts of Ultima Online or CIP of Tibia that had great games to work with and then completely ruined them as time past.

Seriously? What's up with all the nerfing and boosting of skills every single week almost? You figure out a good build and bam! it has to be nerfed...that Wiki really screwed things up because good builds become so easy to get. But still. Sure some skills needed balancing, and you DID balance them!
Now all you are doing is nerfing builds that get to good, you're not really balancing out skills, you're balancing out people who can figure out good builds. Now instead of games taking a couple of minutes up to 20 minutes, a game, especially GvG can take ages...thus those stupid "timers" that you added that ruin the game even more.

And this is all because you've basicly NERFED all builds so that in the end the monk needs to make a mistake for the team to loose. It shouldn't really be about who heals the worst but who kills the fastest and that's almost become imposible now!

Ontop of that you've added this most stupid of all your new inventions. The "Dishonorable" title.
I mailed you about this and didn't even recive an answer!
Sure, there's always tards complaining about the guy needing to eat lunch or take a piss saying its a grave injustice and waste of time.

But all you've done now is prolong their and everyone ellses "Suffering".
People who in Random Arena get a team with 4 monks can't leave if all four don't resign and there's always some dick who won't resign.

People who get a leecher (obvious) can't just leave right away but have to waste their time and get killed first.




PLEASE. I BEG YOU...STOP CHANGING THE GAME MORE (Heck if you could, revert some of these stupid changes) and concentrate on making GW2 for the new audience!


Does anyone agree with an oldie here? this is my first post in 2 years here almost. I'm just sick of it damnit.

PS: Why the hell can't I make a poll out of this? What difference does it make if people spam the board with polls or threads...God. It's all about control where ever you turn, even on forums you can't do what you want anymore. Someone please make this a poll!

I Payed for this game "As Is".

I payed for Factions and NF aswell.
Now give me back my cash or until then don't tell me if I should complain or not.

Just cause you couldn't figure out a build by yourself and have the Wiki on tab every guildmatch you play. lol. Test, Figure, Try a build for hours and hours and then see it get nerfed and then complain about me whining.


And if you've actually done that, you're insane if you *aren't* whining.

No, you payed for a privelidge ot play an online game which changes and the main focus of the game was PvP.
Effects of skill balances are trivial at best in PvE.

You obviously don't understand why the skills have to be balanced. I'll tell you.

#1: Everything works in PvE (roleplaying). So, you can't really balance around this aspect. The AI is always the same, and thus, can always be beaten.

#2: Not everything works in PvP. People change. They get smarter. They run what works best. People find new builds that provide an unfair advantage over others (more than they should), and they run it. If anet doesn't nerf these builds, everyone starts running them because its the only thing you can win with. To further simplify this concept, an common analogy:
If you bring a knife to a gunfight, your gonna get your rear end handed to you. So what do you do? You run away, buy a gun, and come back. Anet has to nerf the "guns" so everyone stays on the same playing field.

Now those do not go "hand in hand".

Imagine a team with perfect healers and nerfed out builds.
Whooops. Nobody will kill anybody or it will take ages.


Now imagine 2 teams with even overpowered builds...Ahh now the fun begins.
Total carnage, being fast on those buttons when you're doing the combo, heck hiding behind a wall to not get hit by a single arrow might call who gets killed last.

And mind you my post wasn't just about "skills". It was also about the dishonourable status which makes no sense at all to me.

Ontop of that one could argue that if someone becomes "smarter" a.k.a. more skilled at interupting then that person shouldn't be punished by nerfed down interupt skills. Instead the monk should rethink his build and sacrifise some healing for stance or for example holy haste. Its a bit of a gamble but that's what makes it fun.

I'm not sick and tired of change, I mean look they're going to revert the last one...Imo the way to deal w/ leechers/annoying people would be adding a majority party-vote kick to the game.

You paid to play an online game. Nobody is forcing you to play it, if you don't like the changes either don't play or just tough it out and play through it. Or learn to adapt. Not that hard to do.

Thank god they don't have as dumb lawyers as you.
That means that the experience compared to SINGLEPLAYER gaming may change. Not that the game may become a Sim City out of the sudden.

Well if there's weekly "stop nerfing my build" threads, then STOP nerfing "my" builds.
Instead use your brain and learn a way to fight them.

I don't "care" if a leecher is punished. I care if I can leave the game as soon as possible if I detect a leecher or not. Which I can't since I then become the dishonourable twat who left the game according to them.

dishonorable is lame, but there needs to be balance in pvp. there have been builds that have been extremely difficult to kill. the dervish/sandstorm deal in the nightfall preview event comes to mind. no balance=no fun

its on the box clown. and i dont really care what it supposed to mean, the point is is that the game is alive. its either going to grow and evolve or die.

Counters existing doesn't imply that a build isn't overpowered or degenerate.
It creates build wars, and keeps the game stale.

Using one build to counter another usually means you're going to get conquered by a build that counters yours, and I find rock paper scissors boring, Kthx.

I've survived and dealt with moments when my builds changed. Most of the time I end up playing a different character till something catches my eye to fix out my builds.

Holding a copy of GW Factions here, can't find the quote.
Maybe I can sue them then as opposed to you, who has the special package.
Hey tell you what, if you can show me the quote on a GW factions package I'll transfer you 50 bucks. I'll ofcourse uppload a picture of mine then so we can compare them if it's the same box (if not the bet is off).

I guess if you don't accept it's obvious that you just made it up.
On the bigger issue, lets agree on Dishonourable then, GTFO with that shit.

About interupters: No!
Interupt skills have been nerfed ALOT. Last one was a couple of mesmer skills, because people were getting to good at interupting (The only thing that can kill something nowdays.)

In addition to that , a bunch of assasin skills were nerfed aswell because nobody uses CoP and because nobody knows how to use Holy Veil as a monk.
So despite the swarm of assassins using skills like that one which makes you unable to cast spells for some seconds, nobody figured out to use CoP.
So instead they nerfed it.

It's about people not willing to addapt to skilled builds.
Not me not willing to addapt to nerfs.

Exacly my point. IT never was a SPG so the quote (if it even exists) is useless.
And skill changes were once indeed to balance skills. They've had a couple of years to do that now, but they keep changing them. So now its not about balancing anymore as they've done that. Now it's about nerfing them when people figure out how to use them properly.
